P250 in 9mm w/contrast sights.

it fits my hand so well and it's...it's...it's just so handsome!

a couple sponsors had them on sale for $499, so I snapped it up quick.

however, the coating job on the barrel is quite splotchy and uneven. won't affect the operation, but makes me wonder if it was a factory 2nd or something. :yingyang:

How do you like the Double Action Only ? I kinda want one but still not sure yet since can't find any local that has one to try out the trigger.

I already had P320c in 9mm. Thanks.

hey KND, I like the DAO.

compared to my SP101 I just bought, it's a hair trigger in comparison, LOL!!!

and the take down, it's so easy. I don't think there is an easier gun to take apart!!!

Hey Mr. Friendly,

The next time when you take yours out can you check your reset if it does the trigger do two clicks before you can fire again? I haven't been able to duplicate the two click reset on a dry fire.

Thanks

I will try to remember tBC. you want me to dry fire and see or when I'm at the range?

anyone else with a P250 upgrade the recoil spring guide? the plastic one seems a bit iffy to me. :yingyang:

These are amazing guns.....I'm a revolver guy for years.....can shoot this better than any glock...beretta....sti.....cz.....this will be the last gun I would ever sell if u can handle the DOA this thing is a laser highly recommended and the price is a steal....have a second on hand bnib for back up all stock no upgrades needed

Mr. Friendly, If you can pay attention to the trigger reset the next time you're at the range please. I've only had mine for just over a month picked it up during the TSE Easter Sale and I've put through maybe 200 rounds through it with only one FTE. I'm not sure if the recoil spring upgrade is needed yet, maybe someone who has more rounds through theirs can let us know.

hey tBC, recoil spring guide...not the spring. just stating this for clarification.

I hope I have the cert by end of this week. if I do I'll take it with me to the range. :D

The DA trigger pull on the P250 is the smoothest DA trigger I have ever tried :) It has a long travel till break, but the pull is so light and smooth.

I did upgrade mine, here's a copy of my post from another thread :

I have one, It shoots great. No failures to feed or fire so far. Pretty accurate once you learn to handle it steady during the trigger pull.

Not sure about Conversion kits, but the price of the conversion kit will be close to the the price of the gun

I did change the recoil guide rod and 16# spring on mine. The stock one is plastic, weak material, I installed solid stainless steel one from an USA seller. Flat shipping 10$ to canada, no additional fees.

I got the rod and spring from this place : http://shop.springerprecision.com/product.sc?productId=306&categoryId=56

DA pull is the best I have tried so far, smooth and not heavy. It is just long.

It is a great DAO pistol in my view. Very reliable so far, easy to disasemble and clean.

P250 is next on my pistol-to-buy list. I just love DA guns but there are not a lot of them (call me crazy). Every since I bought the S&W 929 I have left my Glock 17 at home most of the time. Sure the 929 is loads of fun but it is very big... so the P250 is perfect size.

Are mags easy to find? Are they affordable? May be after I got the P250 I will even sell my Glock 17

Funny story. I dug this thread up because I recently acquired and p226 and find I really like the da trigger. I'm thinking this might be a good, reasonably inexpensive option for me.

P226 is a better pistol overall, compared to P250, but the DA pull on the P250 is way lighter and smoother :)

That's about what I expect given that the P250 is a $450 gun. It's not really meant to replace my 226 so much as offer an alternative. From what I understand the caliber exchanges, grip modules and the other junk from the p320 transfer over so with the rising popularity of the P320 it should ensure decent aftermarket support for the platform.

I picked one up and at first I was all over the place, but once i got the feel of it the groups were getting tighter.I ran centaure/american eagle/brazer brass all 124 not a glitch around 200 rds.Trigger is long but smooth.Simple take down easy to clean.Over all I am quite pleased with it.It is my first handgun in over 20 yrs I put thousands of rds thru my baretta 92s before i sold it.I bought this as a retirement gift to myself!

here's my target from around 10 meters, the first and only time I shot mine (at the time was with the aftermarket rod and spring 16 pounds). Having in mind that I have never shot DAO before :) I find it to be consistently accurate
