Hey kids
I was bored so I made a sks lower.
Hand made all the parts.

Vz.58 stock adapter
Magpul ak pistol grip
Ak style mag release
No duck bill mags
Magpul Zhukov handguard

Not really like the fab one, that's still a stock this is more like an ar lower.
Haven't shot it yet but the Trigger group still attaches to the upper like normal. No reason for it not to work.

No I have basic tool. Grinder, hack saw, drill press files. ..ect. my buddy Dave helped with some welding. I'm a welder just don't have a machine.
 
From pictures it looks like a drop-in adapter for the existing stock lower receiver, not a standalone "lower receiver" like an AK.

Is the barrel attached directly to the front trunion and does the bolt ride on rails inside your lower receiver? How is the trigger group attached?

No the upper just sits in the lower I made same as it would drop into a stock. Held in by bolts. It's just a mix of an ar lower and an ak reciver.

Trigger group still attaches the same as normal.

Not bad looking as far as sks chassis go, I like that you made it from scratch. The one thing aesthetically that most sks chassis’s don’t do for me is how they don’t transition from the end of the dust cover down to new stock, that’s just personal preference for me though. I like how far forward the forend goes, makes the barrel not look so bloody long.

Did you weight it before and after, would be interesting to see if it’s heavier or lighter now?
 
Best looking chassis I’ve seen so far. I agree the Magpul fore end solves the weird barrel aesthetic.
 
It weighs 9 1/2 pounds not sure what a stock sks weighs. Yes the back of the sks sucks it's hard to transition it into a stock, dusk cover removal is the problem.
