Very nice looking gun... I like it. Don't feel bad about having modded your SKS. Everytime someone posts a modded SKS they get jumped on. Whats the point in having a gun thats not exactly what you want it to be, especially when it only cost $75... do it up your way.
Im glad you talked about cutting the bayo mount off. Ive wanted to do that but wasn't sure how it would look. Looks great blued. Im going to try that myself.

I love working on rifles. I prefer taking them to original but as long as you are having fun. THAT is the important thing. I modified my SKS just for fun and kept the original parts. They go back together easy.

Thanks for you comments and critiques guys! I understand about keeping a gun original, I'm all for that. I didn't see the harm in doing it to a 75$ rifle though. Worst comes, I'll buy another! 
As for cutting the bayo lug, I just too a dremmel to it, then grinded it in a round shape. I think it looks way better and a little less weight...Plus, I don't think I'll ever need a spike bayo anyways...unless.....zombies....lol.
As for the blueing of the Bolt cover, I just think its makes to gun look smoother.

where did you find that cheek rest? I'm looking for one too. and any other crap I can throw on my gun that looks cool, i've been searching all over for the ultimate muzzle brake, hi cal has a sweet ak one but it needs an adaptor

Got the cheek rest off ebay. CAA cheek riser I beleive. as for the front grip bipod, same thing. Its not that great, the ''feet'' are a bit wobbly sideways but I paid 20$ shipped for it and it does the job without a problem anyways.
As for Zombies though, the purist would be better off with their SKS because of the Bayo...lol...not too worried about zombies though...lol!
