i finaly finished re-doing my '43 lee enfield, all ready for hunting season.
the barrel is flat black, reciever is ultra flat olive green (to keep glare down when aiming on sunny days) and the stock/forearm is done with teak stain and a amber tint clear finish. ofcoarse the pictures dont show exact colours, but its verry nice in real life.

Get yourself a foresight protector and screw it on is my advice. Could save you a lot of trouble.

I wouldn't have done one of mine like that, but what matters is what you like, and I can certainly say it looks like you did it well.

Looks great!

You biggest critic (Mr. White Tail) probably won't give a damn how it looks once he is wondering where that gaping hole in his side came from :D

Nice job! Brings new life to the rifle!

I have a question, is that not a "LEE"Enfield?
I thought a enfield had a mauser type action and dogleg bolt handle?
Just asking, as my knowledge of these kinds of particulars is shakey at best! Lol!
