Manufactured in 1931 with a 24" bbl. Scoped weight is around 10lbs. This is my back up gun. With factory ammo I am able to consistently shoot 1" groups or better at 100 yds. It was handed down to me through the family. It had already been modified when I received it so I went ahead and mounted the scope.

Here is my 1903. Refinished the stock, mounted the scope, custom made engraved grip cap from moose antler, and custom made sling. Shoots great as well.

VERY NICE:D! I find mine a bit heavy if I am walking most of the day. I love it when I just sit on a watch near a good opening. Shot a real nice 10 pointer just outside of Westport On. Long range shot.

Springfield 03's

Springfields are great guns and there is something about them even in full wood.
Did you guys sporerize yours or buy them that way? I am looking for an 03 rear sight assembly, especially the base with the ring that goes around the barrel for a restoration project. Or a complete barrel in VG condition with the sights on it.
I have one receiver that I am going to sell as soon as I get the restoration finished. It's drilled and tapped so I don't really need it, and the commercial stock.
