I'm 95% sure of the answer... but I'm going to ask it anyway since the thread about the guy getting arrested for a short Grizzly has reminded me that we have some crazy laws sometimes, even post LGR...

With the LGR gone, can I change up any barrel size I want on a pump shotgun, as long as the length over all stays over restricted length status... and not have to call in any status change or anything else about it? (since there's no paperwork now). In my case, moving permanently from an 18" barrel to a 11" barrel on my Grizz. LOA is over 26" with stock closed of course.

I remember pre-LGR there was some re-classification with the CFO needed even if you went between different non-restricted barrel lengths (staying NR) ie over or under length X (can't remember the specific length offhand).

Thanks!

I'm sorry, but I cannot find a question or question mark in your post.

Reclassification involves changes in classification of a firearm - non-restricted, restricted, prohibited. Changes in classification can occur with or without the LGR.
If a firearm is altered so that it meets the definition of restricted, it would have to be registered as such.
If it is altered so that it meets the criteria for prohibited status, its just plain illegal and there is no registration option.

Doh, you're right... English fail on my part. :) Edited my first post for clarity.
But to simplify:
Now that the LGR is gone, is it correct that I do not have to make any notification of status change to swap from an 18" barrel to a 11" barrel permanently on a pump-shotgun, provided the LOA keeps it in non-restricted territory?

In the LGR days you'd get your cert as either non-restricted with barrel over X length -or- non-restricted with barrel under X length. Now that the LGR is gone, this is completely irrelevant, right? To me, the answer is obviously yes since it is now paperless... but I'd rather look like an idiot and ask here, then end up in court because I missed something.

Previously, the details of a firearm's registration could be updated if there were changes in barrel length, caliber, etc.
The only thing that matters now is if there are alterations which would result in a classification change.
That's my opinion, and its worth what you paid for it.;)
