Wrapping a few things up on the build. Just some start and end photos. Few more things I'm looking into but its close now, still not sure how I'm going to address the barrel gap, may just leave it rather than cheese it out.

Where did you get the rifle in 17HMR? Was it a pre-order or are there some sitting on shelves in Canada?

What Boyds stock is that?

Other than stock removal for the bedding material to grab onto did you have to do any other cutting/grinding on the stock to get the T1x to fit?


FWIW I put mine (22LR) in a T3x Varmint stock and the black on black barrel to stock gap is 'OK'. On yours you could always put barrel tape on it to get the free float and bed the front as well.

Calgary shooting centre I think still has some. I got mine from them back in November

I did pre-order but one came available at The Gun Dealer.

Yes, if you look at the bedding pic, the lower part of the image shows a bit of an inside bolster. I had to file those sides down a little bit to get the receiver to slide in nice, no other modifications.

Have a question. What is the ring around the barrel, just at the end of the stock. I have the 22lr version ,no ring. If a tuner,what’s the make and how much difference does it make. Thanks

Due to the high performance pressures of the more powerful. 17HMR round, it's a sonic boom stabilizer sometimes referred to as a thrust magnaflux disruptor. lol

Ok getting real, it's actually black tape for centering in the stock when bedding. :)
