Man what an awesome season!!!!! I am looking at going to Nebraska next spring for my first out of Ontario turkey hunt. What is your shell/choke combo?? I personally shoot an 870 topped with a bushnell trophy 1.75-4x32, a gobble stopper choke and 3 1/2" winchester xtended range HD #6's VERY deadly out to at least 50yds, I wouldn't attempt it but I'm sure they are deadly even farther out.

I've been in NE and killed birds , its a great place to hunt.

My combo is Pure Gold choke and Hevi 13 #6 the combo is diedly

OK Adrian. What shot do you use? What is the typical shot distance, longest shot you would take etc... ?

Hi Demonical,

I use Hevi shot in the Hevi 13 shells #6 20 gauge were talking. The adverage shot of a turkey is 30 yards but it is no uncommon to misjudge and take 40 yard shots. This is why testing guns for thew max 40 yard range is a good idea.

Hope that helps...
