UPDATED WITH FINAL SETUP AND CHANGES. Includes new pics.

This thing has been months in the making. My goal in building it was to have a piston SBR that was as light as possible. Its finally done and its exactly what I wanted. Its short, but not too short, its super light and it points like a dart. Its simple and uncluttered but has all the stuff I felt I really needed. It fits like a glove. I have no idea what the final cost is... I stopped counting a long time ago. I just figured, if I was going to own an AR, it had to be the exact AR I wanted to own. This is it.

Parts list is as follows:
-DDM4 V5 upper and lower
-DD 10.3 CHF Barrel (carbine)
-DD 9.5 light rail
-DD Bolt and bolt parts
-Adams Arms piston conversion system, carbine length with railed gas block.
-Adams Arms light weight bolt carrier
-CMC drop in trigger, 4 LBS, curved trigger
-Phase 5 V2 Bolt release
-Phase 5 charge handle
-Phase 5 enhanced trigger guard
-Extended mag release
-Magpul MAID grip,VFG and CTR stock
-Noveske KX3 muzzle device
WEIGHT: 8.6 lbs with empty Gen 3 Pmag installed

Optic is a Bushnell AR optics in a AR Stoner one piece mount. At first I didnt like the mount. I was using something else. Then I put it on just to see how it fit and its actually great. Its super light and feels very sturdy. Its not expensive but I really like it.

NOTE: I do realize the KX3 is upside down at the moment. I havent been able to tighten it fully yet. The flats for a wrench are hidden behind the rail so ill have to find an alternate way to tighten it. Just needs another half turn.

How do you like the Phase 5 bolt release?

Its a little big. I think if I had it to do over id stick with a BAD or something of similar size. But, it looks cool and definitely works as advertised. Alot less wiggle in it than a standard bolt release with a BAD lever installed. So thats a good thing.
