I was looking for a great setup without looking to tacticool.
So far I really like the Hogue overmolded stock set and VangComp follower amazing little peice.

very nice, you'll be hard pressed to beat the quality of the parts you chose. As for lights, my 2 favourites are the Fab Defense Speedlight as its very small, but very bright. But my personal favourite is the Fenix TK-12R5. Still compact but crazy bright with a good battery life and several different light outputs. It can light up my entire backyard like a spot light, make a good all around camping flashlight or can be turned way down low to last for days on a set of batteries.

That hogue forend, is that the same length as the stock forend? and did you have to cut the forend for the 6 shot saddle?

The Hogue set is perfect with the 12"LOP it's super quick to shoulder. I Have long arms but still really like the feel.
The forend is a little longer than the police rat tail forend but does not effect the Mesa Tactical 6 shot sidsadle at all. The rubber of the stock and forend is great your hands just fits perfect and even with a loose grip that sucker is not moving out of your hands.
The Hogue set was $95, Well worth the money.

As for the Rem tactical Choke I dont use it but will prob hang on to it for my next build.

Thanks guys for you comments, I really was trying for a well balanced setup not to much bling just somthing that is always going to be ready when i need it.

for the price I have decent little Rem 870. so
far

870 Tactical $475 all in
Hogue Overmolded $95
Mesa Tactical 6 shot $65
VangComp SS follower $22
Vangcomp jumbo safty $21

So for a total of $678

I have everything I wanted on a Rem 870.
18.5" threaded barrel, Ghost rings with rail for optics. 2 shot ext. new stock and forend. upgrade the follower from that cheap plastic and a jumbo saftey which is a great upgrade it's so quick to get to. And a 6 shot sidesaddle.
So overall I was happy with the end product.

My hogue came as the set. I was thinking of other forend options. but so far the forend is really good tons and tons of grip.
