I've been contemplating getting a tactical shotgun for quite some time now. I'm an avid waterfowler and have two Benelli SBE's and they seem to fit me better than other shotguns. So I decided and pulled the trigger on (no pun intended) a new Benelli M4! I gave it a once over to wipe down the grease and re-oil it and made it out to a buddy's field to run some buckshot through it, all I can say is wow! This thing is amazing!

I purchased a GG&G bolt release button a couple of years ago thinking it would fit into one of my Super Black Eagles but apparently it won't fit into a 3.5" chamber so I held on to it. Luckily I didn't lose it as I spent a little time looking for it, LOL! Gonna try installing it myself if not I got a gunsmith available next week to do it for me.

Bolt release easy to install, no need for a gunsmith.

Was going really well until the carrier spring popped out while I was driving the roll pin back in, I must've bumped it loose and now the spring is out and the roll pin is 95% thru and can't seem to drive it any further. I think I'm going to take it in before I severely scratch it up. LOL.

Do you mean you cannot drive it back out and start again ?

Here is a good pictorial of the install. Using a slave pin to hold the bolt release and spring while you drive the pin back in really helps.

Thanks for the link that's muchly appreciated! :) Yeah I can't seem to drive the roll pin thru and start all over again. Gonna just take it in tomorrow, I don't wanna risk scratching up the gun. On a side note, my GG&G charging handle came in the mail today! Woot Woot!

Nice gun...wow. I skipped getting myself a Valentines Day present but my bday is coming soon. I think I may treat myself to something, unfortunately likely not something THIS awesome. Enjoy! Let us know how you find shooting it.

Are you back in operation yet ?
