My varmint rifle

I went to the range today to sight in my varmint rifle. Unfortunately, it was very windy, so the groups were not that nice at 100M but show possibileties and sufficient for marmotte to 200 yards.. I also flinched two shots! I used the Versapod and the mag to steady the rifle.

I did not see any marmottes today but a nice fox stopped and sat in front of me some 25 yards out. It got spooked by a farmers dog barking before I could get the camera out!

hnachaj; While that is not exactly my personal concept of a "Varmint" rifle, I see you are pleased with it, and that is what matters.

I am on the same page as Eagleye when it comes to varmint rifles. I`m looking at a getting a non resricted semi for coyotes next winter though. Never hunted marmottes but i do believe they are a lot bigger than gophers we shoot, you need an accurate rifle when shooting gophers at 100-400 yards. That looks like it would be a fun rifle.
