So I decided to go hunting the other morning and after about 25 minutes of hard hunting;) I found a nice 4x4 whitey feeding up a hill towards me. After watching him for 5 minutes or so he started getting a little nervous as the wind was swirling around a lot and he must have got a sniff of me so I shot him. The 80gr Powershok from the ProHunter .243 found its mark. It took out his left front shoulder and homogenized his heart and lungs but he still mananged to run 100yds or so. Boy are they tough! I gutted him and hooked him up to the Rokon for the drag home to my admiring fan. As I was unhooking him from the Rokon and hanging him up I heard a noise behind me. Check the pics to see who came to admire my hunting prowess.

That is very interesting! I've returned to a kill site the next day and found the snow covered in fresh deer tracks, but your picture tops it all! It's also neat that the mulie doe is checking out the WT.

Why leave your yard to hunt? You have a gas quota you have to use up or something?:p
I usually just go for a walk and only get the Rokon to do the dragging. Most of the deer in my yard are muleys, the whitetails are S, N and E of me. The different species seem to run in strips up and down the mountain. That said I have got a couple of muley bucks from the sundeck;)
