well i was out for a drive on the side by side and i came across a seasonal creek. well we just had a big rain and it was running over. in the creek there were an abundance of minnows . i h=was really supprises there were minnows in this water because the only water the runs through there are from snow runoff and rain water. further up the creek is a pond maybe 5-6 feet deep. anyways my question is what kind of fish is this? also if i come back later in the summer will i be able to fish these fish. thanks.

I like to canoe the run off every year. We drop canoes at the Goulet golf course in Regina and ride the runoff for two days to finish in Lumnsden. We always see quite a bit of fish and always the same type. I have not idea what they are, but I can garuntee there not walleye, pike, perch, or anything like that. I figure they are a sucker or buffalo fish.

Anyways, this year I brought some fishing gear. Rarely do I ever get stunked, and I tried Alot of diferent lures. Not so much as a nible. So from what I learned is dont waste your time fishing run off.
