Mystery Olden Luepold ring / mounts

These came in a freebie box. I've had no luck in discovering what they go on.
They are a hinged unit in that you take out 1 screw and swivel them open to insert a scope. They measure 22.5mm at this time, I'm guessing a 1" tube is what they want. Each ring has a limited amount of swivel to alleviate torque on the tube.
The middle picture is full size, and seems to show part of the word Luepold ( among others LOL).
Frnt ring / mount is numbered 41 and the rear #'d 51.
Any thoughts?

Oh, yeah. The box came from a Gentleman that was my Grandfathers age...so they are OLD...most likely, LOL
