It is a neat device but it did cause me a little concern when I didn't know it was in the gun at first

As much as it intrigues me I am taking it out of the gun and had the ports in the mag tube welded up. I bought the 1100 to use as a teaching gun/loaner for new shooters and think it would be better for that purpose if it worked properly. The smith did an excellent job. You can barely tell where the ports were.
