Thanks for the positive comments guys. Yes, it is being well received and getting good positive feedbacks.
Marking the legs is a great way to get close on a common range. I do that myself. However, you learn to get close from useage. Like the harris, you just figure out a good height to start with and then the next adjustment is pretty simple. Like any tool, practise makes things easier.
we are working on a cant feature and this will be easy to retrofit for anyone with existing units. no ETA as we just started thinking up a design (match season just ended)
The goal is to add less then 1 oz for this change.
As with anything, it is a compromise with weight AND rigidity being primary goals. This it has met with flying colours.
We also can offer 3 plate sizes to fit a wide range of stocks. The reg MPOD is for forends 2.5" wide - pretty much all the factory varmint, tactical and most F TR stocks use this.
The WIDE is for 3" wide forends which allows F OPEN and BR style stocks to use it.
Finally, the SPORTER which is for 1.5" forends. This covers the LR hunting, varmint hunter that want a stable field rest that is easily portable.
Got a few left on this batch so let me know. another batch is in the works for Dec.
TIP: The MPOD is designed to slide during recoil. If shooting from gravel, rock or sand (any surface where the feet can sink and dig in), you need to put a carpeted piece of plywood between the feet and ground. This cures all the hopping and vertical stringing. A piece of carpet on a concrete bench is ideal.
Thanks
Jerry
Shot this earlier today at 300m using the load and rifle I shot in Raton, NM for the US Nationals. Pulled 4th shot low to see if group was forming due to scope or me. Didn't bother to adjust scope as the group was forming nicely. The MPOD will let you do some very nice shooting.
