N.B. bears out yet?

I've been out twice...

First time, Friday the 21st... Went to Base Gagetown... NO area's open except area 53, specifically through gate 48... Drove around, saw a nice bull moose and got to within 15 feet... Oh ya, they specifically told me LOTS of area's were opening up on the 22nd...

Second time... Wednesday the 26th... Went to Base Gagetown... AGAIN, NO area's open except 53... So I left and went home...

So, nope, I have yet to see a bear... I'd like to know if others are seeing them though...

Bears have been out for some time now due to mild winter. Still a bit cool for good daytime movement but with temps rising that will change. Good chance to take one before they hit the green hard and purge. Scout good habitat and follow the sign.
 
Just to update on the bear situation in NB...

I was at the Hanwell range yesterday, 11th May, shooting clays... A ranger stopped in cause he heard the shooting and asked to see licences etc... We provided the info and then got into a chat about the bears...

The ranger said that a "few" had been shot, nothing big, and all were shot by American sports over bait. So, they are out, but I have yet to see one... Fingers crossed!!!
