The New England Firearms Pardner Pump is just plain crap. I bought it off a reputable seller here on CGN and when I got it, it was new and unfired, camo dipped. Reading reviews on this gun it was a chinese knock off of the 870 remington but it completely pales in comparasion.

1. When I put the barrel on the reciever, it was very loose as it you could turn the barrel almost a quarter turn and it lifted up and down.

2. The trigger is some plated pot metal..it feels like a toy trigger my son has on his plastic cowboy rifle...oh wait...it is.

3. The bolt slides freely in the chamber with no lock down mechanism which IMO can damage the pin.

4. The stock...synthetic...almost feels like a hardened rubber then a hard stock so if seems like it may almost "bend" when you pull it in.

So I spent 50 bux in shipping it to H&R to have it looked at and they said it was some issue with the slide rail...the part where the pump handle is. They note said it was repaired and then sent back to me. It still has the same "loose barrel" on the reciever but it only is a "little" loose now.

The seller was nice enough to take it back minus the shipping but I will never buy one again.

Buyer Beware:mad: Get a an 870...buy quality not crap

after reading that 870 accessories would fit-I thought that maybe Remington (who own H&R via their Marlin acquisition) had created an "Express Express" for H&R- who have traditionally a single shot mftr.-obviously the result; no matter who actually made it-is less than satisfactory

Yes Remington owns a few companies now from Marlin, NEF, H&R, and the warrantee dept is manage by a company called Polar...I think...

They have a great Customer Service and Warrantee dept though...too bad about the gun...
