N555 low velocity, 6.5 CM???

Hi,
I'm testing N555 powder in my tikka 6.5CM, 24" barrel. 143gr eldX.
Moy COL is 2.910" so, .200" longer than listed.
At the listed VV max charge: 41.7gr 2.710"col, 2624fps(accounting forr their 1.75" longer barrel)
I get only 2540fps. That is really slow! GRT gives me an expected pressure of 49000psi.
I've tried over the max, but, I don't like that.
What are your experiences with this load?

I, also, had low velocity with Vv555. I tried it with Hornady 147g and Berger 153.5g (1:7 twist) out of a 26'' barrel.

I got better results with StaBall 6.5 with those heavier bullets. When I retry Vv555 I may bump up the charge a bit, seems it has a slower burnrate than expected.
 
N555 is a good bit slower burn rate than 4350, and you can use 41-42grs 4350 under a 143 ELDx. You can add more N555 into that Creed if you're only getting 2540 fps from 24" pipe
 
if you’re seating long then you have more empty space and so will have lower pressure for the same powder charge. Either fill the space with more powder or seat deeper to achieve the pressure and velocity. My 2cents

I got great groups with my tikka 6.5cm and 147eldm +40.5 n555 I think I seated to book but I forget
 
Ive found all vv load data to be pretty anemic. Look at some other online data that uses vv powder and you'll find higher charge weights listed as max. As an example sierra online lists 60.1 gr n565 as max for a 130gr in 6.5 prc and vihtavuori online lists 57.1gr as max. Just watch your velocity and work your way up. I got 147 eldm to 2650 quite easily in a 20" 6.5cm barrel with n555.
