I have a .22 bolt action with Toronto stamped on it. It is a NAACO Grizzly no. 10

Can anyone tell me anything about this company, when they were in business, how there products were marketed etc?

Or perhaps contact info for one of the guys specializing in collecting .22's (who might know).

Well, for NAACO, the background (from Wikipedia) indicates they were a Canadian arms manufacturer that went by the full name of the "North American Arms Corporation". The company apparently folded in 1952, after a failed attempt to introduce a .45 Winchester-magnum pistol called the NAACO Brigadier (and the awesome submachine gun counterpart version called the Borealis). According to Securityarms, NAACO was located in Toronto.

Which you already knew.

NAACO, like Cooey, produced single-shot .22 rifles, one of which was the Grizzly you have.

And that's it for me, for now. I hope this was some help.

My father gave me a used NAACO Grizzly No.10 ss back in '68 and I still have it. See them for sale from time to time. My stock was original bright red stain which I stripped decades ago.
