I just measured my firing pin protrusion tool, and the pin should be sticking out 2-3mm and no more then 5ish mm. They are very rough tools and give very rough estimates. Id say the 2-3mm mark should be good, the rear of the firing pin SHOULD be flush with the rear of the striker/cocking knob, and the lines on the rear of the firing pin lined up with those on the striker. This isnt always the case, but if your pin is around the 2-3mm mark, and they are flush, your good to go
