Yeah, I used the search function thanks ♥

Little while ago I saw someone post about his really awesome looking muzzle break(Someone was asking for a replacement for the M305), triangular , three ports on each side and kind of "Breacher" Style spikes at the front . I forgot to through the page in my favorites.

Looked a little like this:

You guys are awesome, thanks! Sorry for starting another thread, I spent at least 40 minutes trying to find the name of it before asking. New you fellow gun nuts would know what it was.

Cheers!

I don't think it fits metric threads, and better brakes are available.

What would you suggest for a .308 rifle with 5/8 x 24 thread? It's going onto a Remington 700 SPS 16.5 inch .308.

I have seen video of the Smith Enterprise Good Iron M14 US Coast Guard / Navy Muzzle Brake and the Juggerthang on select fire M14s. The clear, hands down winner is the Good Iron brake from SEI. It installs using your existing castle nut, and you can use your existing front sight or upgrade to a NM front sight.

I tried out one of the ones from the guy selling them on the EE actually, and they surprisingly keep you dead on target during rapid fire strings. They are very much functional!

Thanks guys and thanks H20 , funny, I was not even looking for one for my M305, but might have to buy one of these in the future, also, I found a Canadian made muzzle brake specifically for the Remington 700 SPS , just gonna throw it out here in case any of you tagged this thread for interest. (They sell brakes for lots of other guns too)

I tried armtac to see if they have the good iron muzzle brake but they're not in stock. Tried brownells but they don't ship sme (significant military equipment) to canada. Any other options?

Wait....Armtac will eventually restock. They seem to have poor judgement when if comes to order sizes, and then sell out before new stock arrives. I'm in the same boat as you. Patience.

$190 is pretty steep. Check ATRS they have a decent 5/8x24 brake for $125.
I run one of these on my SPS and find it does a pretty good job. http://www.wolverinesupplies.com/de...nse-AR15-Extended-Muzzle-Climb-Mitigator.aspx
