Nanaimo match

if the match is on, I am planing to be there. anyone else from the mainland

Yep. Haven't decided on "the night before", or the "morning of..."
Mike has my check...I'm GTG...
Now I just gotta make sure I'm in shape...(un)fortunately, it looks like no run downs...?

No, no rundowns. This range licks for rundowns due to it's inconsistent terrain from one target to the next, some guys get stiffed and some have it really easy. We also have one among us who is going to Bisley that would like to have a bit more practice in snaps and rapids so I have modified the program slightly to reflect this. I will be releasing the revised course of fire by Friday and will post it in this thread the same as the Tac Championship thread. Bear with me and we will get it done and have a good time while we are at it.

Who wants to go eat and have a few drinks after?

Can someone give me some directions to the range from the departure bay terminal? I've been there many times, the most recently was 25 years ago...

From Dept Bay Terminal:
Keep heading south along Stewart Avenue. It terminates and becomes Termnal Ave (The Old Island Hwy 4).
Keep heading south across the bridge into 'Downtown'
At the Comox Road Intersection...(Howard Johnson, and beer and wine store)
Make a right. Head up Comox Road (which becomes Bowen Road).-Stop at the Tim Hortons. Then keep going over the train tracks .
Make a left at Wakesiah. Drive along wakesiah until you pass the college, and continue driving along the Nanaimo Military Camp fenced boundary.
Make a right onto Nanaimo Lakes Road (4-way stop). After driving past the resevoir and RIGHT after the hydro lines Right of Way, There should be a turn off to the right into what seems like a residential road. (it may say nanaimo military range). Thats where the range is. If you are lost. the range is right beside the hydro lines rrw so. you know it'll be close by.

If you are on nanaimo lakes road and drive past the nanaimo fish and game club, you've gone too far. Or drive to the club and ask for remedial help.

I'm in the states so I won't be going.

Whew! That was close. I thought I accidentally worked over my own team. I was focused on what day the regiments of 39bgd all had open and the 24th was the day.

Service rifle in the morning! We will start when the Vancouver boys show up. I have printed the course of fire for each shooter, and the firing tickets are printed. Only thing left is to think of what to use for prizes? I will go look and see what I have got in the mystery trunk of goodies.:D
