Naval Jelly??

I've read a few posts (on other sites) which claim Naval Jelly does a fine job of removing blue.

I've yet to find any Naval Jelly. Anyone know if this stuff is sold in Canada? If not is there another product which does the same job?

I've found Naval Jelly(Phosporic acid) at Home Hardware.

Another choice is muriatic acir(hydrochloric acid). I buy it at Home Hardware also.

The only NAVAL JELLY I know of is when i have haven't washed for a few weeks

With proper antibiotics navel jelly can be cured. You can probably find NAVAL JELLY at WAL Mart also. You may also be able to find Phosphoric acid in a liquid form easier than the Naval Jelly. I think the Naval Jelly might be a little safer to work with than Muriatic acid , which can be found at building supply outlets, Muriatic acid is used for cleaning brick work, and etching concrete.

I haven't seen it for sale for years. Although the same sort of product is likely sold under other names. I also suspect I know where you saw that post, but I will conceal that knowledge for now.

The last bottle of Naval Jelly I bought says Canatian Tire on the price tag. Muriatic Acid also available at CT.

Dominion Sure Seal Ltd.

There's a similar product sold at Canadian Tire under the name Rust Remover.
It contains phosphoric acid, sodium nitrate and thiourea. It passivates iron and ferrous metals.
