Navy style Iron sites for M14 ...

Can somebody post a pic of their rifle with the NAVY STYLE iron front sites ... I can't get XS Sites to export a set I want even to dealers with import permits ... so I wanna see what manufacturers are out there with the hooded navy style irons for my M14 243 build. Post'em if you got'em. Thank you,

I think I still have a Navy GLFS for usgi threaded barrels. It was manufactured by Volters.... A canadian outfit that seems to have disappeared. It is identical to the version that used to be offered by Marstar. Pm me if you're interested.
 
I just ordered a an SEI hooded gas lock front sight from Brownells yesterday. It's special order, but apparantly no problem. (I am keeping my fingers crossed in case the wheels fall off the wagon). It just may take 2 years or so for SEI to ship it to Brownells, they seem to be eternally back ordered because of government contracts.

I bought it at Marstar. Here is a photo of "Happy." Happy came home for $350. She's been smiling ever since. What a gal!

And yes, I really like the hood and how it offers a "circular target frame." I focus on the front sight of course, but I do think the hood as a peripheral object allows for a "faster/larger" ring of view. I also think that generally it helps with faster target acquisition. So yes, I am a big fan of the hood! Buy the hood! HK likes it too... .
 
I guess I may have to consider one of these types of sites as I can't get the set I want ... hopefully this site you show is going to work. Thanks mountainspruce for posting your pics and thoughts. Cheers,
