As the thread states "Milsurp Old stuff buried in the back yard since WWI and WWII" well these little gems had been in a safe since WWII ended as they returned home with a Canadian Captain in the British Army. One is a CZ 27 with original holster and belt and buckle from the SS. The gun is Nazi proofed and is an early model in the high luster blue finish. The second is a Model 1910 Mauser with original holster and original owners name marked inside the holester. This was likely a private purchase as it has no Nazi proof marks, I believe it is a Portuguese contract piece.
Thought I would share these photos with the members of CGNs that have interest in these items.
On a final note these were headed to be destoryed as they were going to be turned over to the local police department when I heard about them.

Well done. Far better this respectful preservation than some souless civil servant giving 'em the Blue Flame Treatment.

I used to think the CZ 27 was ugly until I held one. Lovely feel in the hand, very pointable, wildly over-engiineered. A very solid piece.

The funny thing is there is thousands of these ww2 souveniers around so much for the restricted registry. lol. I have seen some beautiful lugers and mp40's.

Fantastic rescue! I am a huge fan of the CZ27, a popular piece well respected by the occupiers.
The belt and buckle are no slouches either. A decent original SS buckle to a collector can be worth quite a bit, more than than the pistols in the right market.
Thanks for showing, hold onto them!
Joe:)

Downside if they are prohibited short barrel .32's and you aren't previously licensed to own. They will still want them turned in...........hope not but likely........Harold

Not to worry they are both legally registered and in the system:p. The only down side is they cannot be imported into the US so they will have to be sold in Canada, :) to someone with a 12.6 of course.

Very nice pistols, nice looking accompanying leather. Some say the Portuguese contract Mausers had a circle with a small triangle rear of frame, I believe this thought has been held in question.
