Nc Star green and red laser sights need opinions?

I'd like to own a laser sight just for fun at the range, but cannot justify spending 200 bucks on a Lasermax sight, so these Nc Star knockoffs seem very well priced. I was interested in the red lasermax knockoff that is slender and can fit under the front rail of a pistol, as well as the green tubular style laser that is mostly seen on rifles.

Any luck with either of these?

Red lasers are not visible in daylight, even overcast daylight, at 12 meters. We tried everything, including pure black targets.

Green lasers are said to be much better and visible in daylight but that could just be marketing, you'll have to try for yourself. They are substantially more expensive, because of the tech. involved.
