Hello from the National Capital Region. Not much of an intro, but here's a very brief one. Born and raised bilingual (French/English) in East Ottawa. Like most young boys, I was always intrigued by firearms.
At age 17, I joined the military. I was hooked. For personal reasons, I left the military after a mere 2 years. I've always wanted to continue shooting, but nobody I knew shared the passion; so it stopped there.
Years later (2006), I moved to Grande Prairie. During my 3 year stay, I met some great people, including a gun nut (not sure if he's a member here). He re-introduced me to the world of shooting, as was my mentor so to speak, in the world of shooting and welding (which is how I met him). I obtained my R-PAL, and was looking forward to hitting the ranges. Due to unfortunately circustances, I had to cut my stay short, and moved back to my hometown.
So here I am at 31 years of age, trying to connect with some folks so I can learn and move forward in the sport. In a few weeks, I should be receiving my Norinco M305/M14. I am currently researching some .22 pistols and hope to join a club very shortly to help myself in this research. I am also looking forward to obtaining both a .223 and a .308 rifle for some precision shooting and hopefully move up from there.
