Just wondering about the quality of the NcStar red dots (both models they have listed on the website). Planning to put one on my M14. Is this one of those "you get what you pay for?" . Thanks in advance.

i wouldnt worry about wasting your money. i put one on an m14 once.. 3 shots later the lens had come out and the rear lense cap was flying at my face

I just picked up the Doc Optic clone for the CX4. We'll let you know.

Yes, you get what you pay for. OK for a .22. Save up and get a real scope.

Middle solution would be a Burris Fastfire or the speed dot.

There is also the SPOT (aimpoint copy but made in Korea with more QC control) and soon Vortex will release the StrikeFire with a lifetime warranty.

Otherwise, save and buy something that you will keep for a lifetime.
