First...

Sorry for starting yet another thread but my questions weren't answered by reading them.

Second here are my questions

A) For a cheaper scope what are the main problems?
-- I have read that they hold zero... yes I do realize you get what you pay for but what does that mean to a scope noobie.

B) On a AR do I need a riser to see past the front sight?
-- I dont mind seeing the front sight as long as I can see the crosshairs

C) Im looking at the NCStar 1.5-6 power Tactical scope and I have a question reguarding the crosshairs
-- having not used many scoped fire-arms I have a hard time getting the crosshairs to focus... I look at the target the crosshairs are fuzzy... so I try to focus on the crosshairs and I focus for like a split second and than it goes fuzzy again. I have read some reports that that is due to the fact that the crosshair itself is 'etched glass' and can cause this...
I tried this on an old Bushnell I got and I always see the crosshair in focus and rarely have it out of focus.
Now how does that compare to lets say a TriJicon ACOG? (the crosshair not overall quality) I Only ask because If I dont get the NCStar Im going to be saving for the rest of my life to pick one of those up instead. Mind you ~200 VS ~1200 is a bit of differance.

Now having said that the place I can get it from will just replace my scope for me at no cost and send away the scope for warranty work under the dealer licence so I dont have to worry about warranty work either.

And I do know that these seem to be a hit of miss item. Some have them and praise them... others 'had' them and will never use them agian.

Any and all input is appreciated

Luke
