Anything but NEA, even if they give you one for free. They obviously can't figure out that their bolts are garbage.

Buy a DD, keep the replacement NEA bolt as a spare with your gun. That way at a range day you won't have to go home early if the DD one breaks LOL. and your carrier needs to be staked properly as well. Is the carrier an NEA part?. I only ask because NEA advertises their gas keys as "properly staked" Wolverine supplies has the DD bolts for 79.99.

That's what I'd do - actually what I'm thinking of doing, I'm looking at getting one of these, with some modifications, of course.

Hey so quick question op what brand ammo and how many roundsfired until the capage?
Mine crapped on me at 420 rouns fed, Chinese and some pmc rounds

500 - 700 rds of American Eagle.

The bolt on my 7.5" NEA did the same thing at 600 rounds. I got a prompt replacement from them.

Its their old bolt by DPMS I'm told.

My NEA BCG had an E stamp on them, definitely not DPMS, at least my older DPMS has a D stamped on both.
Mine blew out the middle of the bolt in 3 rounds..... I would take all the NEA "MPI & HPT & 158 Carpenter steel" specs as an not factual.
