I gave up on holding out for a Cold War Grey upper and just ordered an 18" .223 upper in black. I will either cerakote the upper in Cold War Grey, or cerakote the lower over to black, depending on which I like better.

Something I'm unfamiliar with regarding AR uppers and lowers - so please, someone help me here (and to some it's likely a dumb question).

I'm considering purchasing a 7.62x39 upper for my NEA-15 (a complete rifle with 5.56 upper).
Obviously, the magazine well is 5.56 and accepts AR-15 magazines.

Am I mistaken in the belief that I can load AR-15 mags with 7.62x39 and they will function with the new 7.62x39 upper?
Or does the 7.62x39 upper also require purchasing new magazines?

All the reading I've done with regards to AR-15s and I can't recall a clear explanation on this ...

You need to buy x39 mags. You can get the 10rd XCR pistol mags in it too
