NEA AR15's

If you are thinking about getting one make sure it's a gen3 last I looked epps only has gen2 all the gen3 have been cerakoted even the black ones.

Are the gen3 more reliable? Can't count the number of bad stories around here about nea...

The gen3 should be,from a conversation I had with NEA it is 90% Canadian made in house,no more cheap over seas parts, the only parts not made by them is the gas key and the 6 postion stock, which they are working towards being made in house.I love mine and there are many people that do also.

Thanks for the good info! I've been looking at one of these for some time now!

I also did, spend a lot of time on the fence but the info I received from "TheWhole9Yards" with the videos he posted on YouTube and CGN plus the info I recived from NEA and other positive reviews helped push me over the edge,I also found the one I wanted in the colour I wanted which also helped,7.62x39 in Burnt Bronze (down range supplies) great people to deal with.

I have a gen1 or gen2 with no holes in the handgaurd. It works completely fine going on 2000 rounds. thats not by any means a measure of greatness, but i cant see whats the deal here.

I've been looking into one of these myself. Is there any way to tell what generation a particular one is? I haven't had much luck with my research....

The gen3 are all cerakoted and the serial numbers will be in he 3000's like 153005,the six position stock has been changed to a magpul looking one, instead of the tapco looking ones on early gens, the muzzle break looks good, older ones had one that looked like a suppressor would thread on,and looked ugly,I believe they changed the a little I'm sure there are others just can't think of them.
