Hi all, for those of you that have this awesome piece installed on your baby, does it sit perfectly level with the NEA handguard? As you can see in the pics, it's angled downwards as the area that piggybacks on the gas block is slightly raised. I believe it's installed correctly as it's nice and snug around the barrel without being overly tight. I know Mr. Martel will be chiming in but just wanted to know if anyone else has experienced this? Thanks! She's "almost" done...

Thanks for the tip, D! And of course I let my friend install it who has the right allen key. Guess will have to wait until tomorrow. Looking at pics and also down at my rifle though, I'm having issues imagining how moving it forward slightly will level things? Isn't the gas block top curved evenly from back to front? That make sense?

It looks like it got deflected on the gas block when it was torqued down. Hopefully it straightens out when you move it.

Your clamp rail looks to be in the same location as mine. It's possible your gas block may have different dimensions than most. Many of the parts on these guns are of varying dimensions.

Oh man, this is making me nervous...hope the part ain't screwed now...so much for self-aligning. Damn varying dimensions!

From your pic it appears the clamp rail is contacting the front curve and the top of the gas block. It's probably just a bit too close to the front of the gas block.

If it still touches your gas block when you move it forward, I'd put money on the gas block being taller than normal.

I have seen that happen once before and as pointed out it just needs to be moved forward slightly. It should straighten out, if not shoot me a pm.
