I was at my Club yesterday and spotted a NEA .22LR AR15(?) in the showcase. It was really compact and looked nice!
My only question to the Counter-guy was "is it restricted?" Too bad it was as I personally don't have any use for a restricted rifle.
Now I've been thinking about it again and may change my mind about owning a restricted rifle (again).

Anyone have any experience or thoughts on this rifle….
(I think the one in the pic is 556 but the .22lr looks very similar) I might have to go back to the Club and fondle it:)

I have the one pictured. I added a few extras too it though. Its def compact!

Im selling it in the EE. Just not that into PDWs as I thought I would be, its fun to shoot though.

Cheers!

I know these are restricted but are they classified as a restricted rifle or restricted handgun?

I was at a store last year and they had a AR that was uber short with just the buffer tube and no butt stock and the guy told me it was classified as a pistol, so I was just wondering if these were the same.

I took a look at your ad…..I'm assuming its in .223/556? Unfortunately, my indoor Club (25yrds) only allows frangible .223 which they sell @ $30/20rnds. That's why the .22lr caught my eye.

wayupnorth….that's a good question but I'm not sure how it makes a difference if its a restricted HG or rifle(?)
I've seen the version with the buffer tube. They look awkward. Personally, I would install a butt stock on one.

What is the minimun barrel length for a centerfire to make it a rifle compared to a pistol?
Because its an AR veriant its restricted reguardless correct?
I thought the hk 416 was non restricted but people have corrected me. Plus there is a pistol version so your stuck with 10 round mags like the bx25, m&p15-22 factory mags and the chiappa upper.

It uses an AR 15 lower so it is restricted no mater what u do to it. And it is a rifle lower so u can have 25 round mags for it.

I ended up fondling it up the other day and while it was very tempting I had to remind myself "I do not have use for a restricted rifle!…yet:)".
I'll just have to stick to my bolts right now….
