I've had one of those stupid, incredibly impractical and uncomfortable NEA CCS (Compact Carbine Stock) that's been sitting in the parts bin for years. I decided to assemble it on a lower today. Since we can't do anything else with our evil guns, I find myself taking apart and re-assembling my assorted parts from time to time to make different rifles. Then I just look at them sadly.
The spring I had in the parts bin with it is shorter than the other carbine springs I have but not by much. It prevents the bolt carrier from going back far enough to grab a snap cap from the mag. The bolt needs to go back about an inch further. I have no idea where the actual spring is, or even if I got the right one with it in the first place.
Anyone know what length buffer spring it uses or where to get one? Worst case, I guess I'll just start clipping spring loops until the bolt carrier can go back far enough.
