Hand guard sets are shipping to dealers today - MSRP $180
2" Rails segments - MSRP $22ish
6" Rails segments with QD sling point - MSRP $28ish

In the pic, the two remaining holes on the right of the handguard are unusable correct? Looks like the receiver is right behind it? I don't have my rifle right now for reference...

The holes are mounting points for the rails. The back of the rails have a boss on them that sits in the holes which makes the rails solid when mounted.

I will post up pictures of the lower with out rails on it.

As for having to buy rail segments, keep in mind, we have dropped the price on the hand guards sets by over $100, and they were selling well at $280+.

can i get a lower handguard separately? and will it work with the old gen3 upper?

thanks for all these cool (and well made) products!

Any plans for an NEA or collaboration "custom edition" cz858 package as I saw you mention in a previous topic? I imagine there are still a few things brewing on your development table which might sideline a project such as this, however it's almost hard to keep track of all these new toys (doesn't help that I am new here either). I'd like to outfit my current non res CZ858, but if some sort of ultra short custom carbine package is in the works then it makes my outfitting choices easier for this one and allows me stave off temptation of buying more CZ858s at this point!

So, it's $180 plus cost of rails?

yes, but considering we sold over 300 sets of hand guards in Dec and Jan @ $280 per set, i would say $180 per set is a steal and a very rare instance of a manufacturer passing on savings to the customer. The rail segments are $20ish, not really a bank breaker. The alternative is fab plastic @ $100 or B&T at $400 a set.

Our product in every case is well below what our competition is charging. Take our hybrid for instance, $40 for a stainless steel, black oxide coated brake. The next closest brake of that quality is $60, we could have marked it up, but we are within margins and again felt it best to pass on the savings to you guys.
