Just bought this (off the EE), am trying to install. The pin goes thru but is not square to the hole at the far end. It's a tight fit, I can't wiggle the handguard any to try and get it to come thru straight, and the hole's too small to get any kind of guide in there. It's just barely off center.

I've tried both the factory pin and the 'slotted' pin that comes with the set. Same result.

Am I going to have to shave/sand the trigger end of the handguard?

GRRRR I also find the upper handguard pin just slides right in and out, 0 tension.

That won't help. It's the other end that's causing the problem.

Turn the set screw in on the handguard leg. It sets the tension for the detent ball.

Stevo, thanks. I didn't know about the detent screw, even after goooooogling around looking for instructions (which I didn't find). Fixed.

StrikeFire in American Defence 68L QR low mount does not co-witness but is much lower to the barrel than the stock high mount was, on the Fab upper h/g.

Lower, I ended up sticking the pin in a drill and rounding off the end that was off center, enough to get it to come thru with a HAMMER. Took me hours of fitting LOL, and now I think I prefer the Fab lower /sigh.

You're welcome.:)

You could have taken a bit off the nose of the lower, that would have let it move a bit forward so the pin would fit easier. My last lower was a snug fit, too. I just used a bigger hammer on the roll pin.

That ADM mount looks good. Where'd you pick it up?
