Nea railed barrel clamp... a dud???

Just got one in the mail... anyone else have one that's not even close to fitting? If I install it all the way back over the gas block its going to have about 45moa elevation(it hits) Not even close to fitting the barrel size either, hole is to small(or to much paint on the bbl).

Just wondering if i am alone in this experience? Have a trs-25 on the way and as soon as that comes in I am going to make a decision on just hacking the rearward protrusion of the mount off, or just mouning it further forward(looks like sh!t) or setting it up in my lathe and boring the underside larger.... after I fix the other issue.
