Thought you guys would like to see the deflector we are going to release in Jan. First off, we would like to thank Claven2 for allowing us to bring his concept to market. We have over 1000 rounds through this unit with out a single case being deflected back into the gun.

What makes this unit better then anything else on the market is its ability to be installed and removed in seconds.

For those who can show proof of purchase on the NEA Cantilever mount we will be offering a significant discount on the deflector as the Cantilever mounts will be bundled with the deflector upon its launch in Jan. We are targeting MSRP to be well under $75

So much for the Co-Witness but none the less this looks rock sold and much more solid then the cheapy from Marstar. When are you going to sell them & will Wolverine retail them for ya?

... A shell deflector is usually used for optics, scopes in particular. You don't cowitness magnified optics. But it appears that you could remove the deflector in about 3 seconds to get at your iron sights.

What's up with you just trolling around now ####ting on everything.. do you have stock in one of NEA's competitors?

As much as you like to bash our Hand guards, we will put them up against any set out there. They are lighter, run just as cool and no matter what claims are made, allow the gun to shoot just as accurate, not to mention they are $50 cheaper then the next closest set.

As for Wolverine, they carry all of our product so unless they discontinue carrying our product its safe to assume they will also carry these.

I'm biased, but I think they look dead ###y :)

and now for some shameless NEA ####:

OK, guess i could look around and try and find out on my own, but just what kind of rifle is that? lots kinda neat for a russian baby killer, didn't think i would get into those type of firearms, but maybe...

It's a CZ858-2 Tactical that's been modded a fair bit.

-Front sight chopped
-NEA handguard set (gen 3)
-NEA Gen1 in-line stock adaptor
-Tapco 6 position AR buttstock
-Custom machined dragunov-type POSP rail TIG welded to the receiver.
-6X POSP-D scope with illuminated reticle and BDC
-NCStar BUIS
-FAB pistol grip
-NEA front BUIS mount
-Prototype NEA shell deflector (unobtanium for another month or so, but since I built the prototype, I get to have it early - lol)
-Entire rifle and all steel accesories are nitro-carburized
-Slovakian Army issue muzzle brake

The first pic looks a bit odd to me...maybe just the angle...looks like the deflector is angled towards the right? Is that correct? Very cool product.

Darn, guess I shouldn't have cut the notch off my rear sight to make it flush :onCrack:

It doesn't look like it's sitting quite square to the rear sight base in that pic. I imagine it should sit down and straight like Claven's pic.

Why did you cut the notch of your rear sight?

Ah okay thanks Stevo, makes sense.

I use front and rear BUIS (on NEA hg and Cant mount) and also cut off the factory front sight...my factory rear was then useless so instead of removing it altogether cuz gasses would be spitting out of that area (right?) I just cut the notch off to make it a flush cover and painted over the white numbers and lines. Now it seems I need a new one, haha. Damn this rifle! I love her.
