Sorry guys I tried to wade through the mounts thread but I can't read that much without my head exploding.....

what is the difference in the "generations" of these mounts....I see some "bargain" deals but want to know if these are old models?????

can I still use my iron sights?????

do they hold zero and return to zero after removal????

Gen 3 and 4 are the only ones that seen the sales desk. With Gen 4 being the newer of the two. The Gen 4 are the ones Wolverine and GP are Retailing now.

They both hold zero and co-witness. The Gen 4 has a nicer finish and a set screw option on the front of the mount to ensure stability. Also Gen 4 has the logo on it.
