NEA Upper & Norinco Lower fit issues

I don't buy garbage and I've never owned one. I have however had the displeasure of trying to fix 2 that wouldn't run and have yet to meet someone with an sgw that runs right or wasnt/isnt modified to make it work.

How many sgw/Olympic guns do you see at the range? How many people do you think have ever heard of them? These would be what's known as a clue. As for your gun, even a broken clock is right twice a day.

I tried a NEA lower on my DSA upper. It was too tight.. like lugs were too wide, or lower pocket too narrow

NEA upper fit almost perfectly on an Anderson lower.

Tried RRA upper on another NEA lower. It fits but is very tight.. It seems pin holes slightly out.

My Anderson lower fits the RRA upper, The DSA upper, and one or two other uppers I tried that I am forgetting the names of... all snug but easy to dis-assemble.

As mentioned earlier, the dust cover seems like it may have an issue... but I have not removed it to try another one. It came installed. Also I have not tried the FF fore grip.. but it would suck if that doesn't fit because that is what I had planned. Side by side comparison with DSA FF upper looks identical FWIW.

Will be respectful here and not play into a hijack.

If you put a ff rail on an NEA upper, it won't fit most lowers.... Different front end dimensions allow the ff tube to sit back too far which causes it to hit the lower so the pins don't line up. There is a reason things are built to spec, then there is NEA lol

Seems to be exactly this, forgot to mention I did take the rail off and the front pin fit much better, rear was still pretty tight though. On the bright side, no play what so ever between upper and lower

the NEA is a beautifully made piece of kit at first glance, have yet to take it to the range though

You can get an Aero stripped upper for a little over $100 and swap everything onto it.....problem solved. That's what I ended up doing.

It's currently "sharing" the lower with my Norc, plan always was to eventually give it a lower of its own - Was hesitant between Mag Tactical and NEA, I guess I might go with NEA to be on safe side, I'd guess NEA to NEA fit should be of no concern.... hopefully!
