Just wondering what Red Dots people have tried on the NEA Hand Guards??

Would you say the T1 is an absolute cowitness? In the pic it looks like the FS is too high, but I'm guessing that's just the angle from which the photo was taken.

So yeah, does the dot sit on the sight? Or is it a little above the sight, or more of a lower 1/3 kind of thing?

My Eotech has treated me well and it is super fast but I really think the NEA + T1 is going to be Megan Fox's tits.

Burris FastFireII

Not quite there yet, but i think if I remove the wings it will as they add another 1/8 inch to the height.

Heeey!
Why not an NEA designed over-the-sight shroud? The thing could be two half shells that would bolt to the mount on eash side, just under the rail, and enclose the optical sight...
Then you could put a Fastfire on the rail and not worry about bashing it up.

or you could buy our barrel clamp and railed stock adapter to use for back up irons and install a man sized optic that doesnt need to be babied on the hand guard ???????????? :D

glad you brought that up stevo, my aimpoint micro was set at 100 .

The TRS-25 does the same thing, Curtton. It and the Micro must be nearly identical in dimensions from what I can tell.

IIRC, I found I could co-witness the FF with a 500m setting and a full-size Comp M2 in a Leupold low ring at 300m or 400m setting.

If a guy is willing to give up the adjustability of the iron sights, you can adjust the front post height to zero at at set distance with the rear sight leaf higher. That way you can get a decent co-witness with a FF and still have iron sights for back-up.

I'll make one for me as soon as the new handguards/scope mounts hit the road.
This could be fashioned with 1/16" sheet steel with cutouts for the sight's controls.
The NEA upper handguard has plenty of meat on the sides to allow drill&tap; three small hex or Torx screws on each side should be sufficient.
Envision something like the fastfire protector, only bigger and tacked to the mount sides.
BTW, howmuch for a FasFire without the protector?
PP. :)
