Near mfg Sako base

I was originally set on getting some Optilocks for my new scope on my Sako 75 (V) but found out that Near makes a pic base for my rifle. I like the idea in that I can use whatever rings I want (which is handy if I need to swap rifles back and forth or what have you).

I am curious though if the base causes any problems in terms of brass ejection ?

Any other reviews of this base ? I would probably get the standard base rather than a tapered base, if that makes a difference.

Richard Near makes great stuff. ATRS also makes a base, not sure if it will fit your rifle.

I think Rick's only fits TRGs ?

I think your right. I have installed a few Near setups, top drawer kit IMO.

What rifles did you install on ? Any experience with non-TRG Sakos ?

I installed Near rings and bases on Wby Mk V's, Rem and a Savage IIRC. Absolutly great fit and finish of an excellent design. Good service as well.

I think Rick's only fits TRGs ?

We also make them for the Sako A5 series. I am not sure if these will fit onto the 75 and up series or not however and do not have a 75 readily available to try it on.
