I fell into a great deal the other day. A friend told me about a fellow who had bought a massive gun collection last year and said he thought he might have some stuff that he wanted to sell that I'd be interested in. Darn! I was some glad I made that phone call! Purchased a huge batch of Lee Enfield wood , parts and a few Milsurp Ross rifles and a 1889 totally matching Schmidt Rubin. If someone had a good set of wood this would be an awesome rifle. The two long Ross rifles are in good shape as well but unfortunately the wood has been cut. The short older 1905 is totally shot out but will certainly be a good parts carcass or suitable for another barrel. Here's a few pics.

I wish I had a complete set of wood for the long Ross. It would make a nice gun! I will be selling some of the handguards but NO lower front stocks. Those are destined for a couple restorations I will be doing shortly. I WILL consider a complete set of good wood for a No4 Mk1 to swap for a good set for a No1 Mk3 though.

I'd say you are absolutely right Claven. What a shame it is too. :) I'm just happy as a pig in poop that he had the good sense to save all the pieces for me to acquire! So many guys pitched the stuff in the garbage years ago, me included I am sad to say!
Greenfields, don't stop asking around about gun parts! That is exactly how this stash was located. Great finds do occasionally occur. I'm on my 3rd "fall in the toilet and come out smellin like a rose deal" in 1 month but had a dry spell of about 6 months before that that I found nothing.
Yes WOODCHOPPER! Those are indeed 3 Browning HP mags that are marked JI. The other 2 are Smith and Wesson 9MM.
Thanks Lou! I knew you would love to see those pics. I emailed them direct to you this afternoon too.
