Hey All,

I traded a firend for these and now I have in my possesian half a box of CCI .22 long rifle shotshell I am wondering if anyone has seen these and if I can still buy them I really like them.

Thanks Any info would be great------------Cricket

Hi again I was on the CCI sight and found them but none as old as the ones I have they are 20-40 years ol bought at CO-op but they dont sell ammo in town now for a price at 4.19 they are really neat might keep these and just order some new ones.

They are usually loaded with #12 shot, and are great for killing mice and voles. The shot bounces off most birds, but they are still fun. Something doesn't have to be "useful" to be fun, else there would be no SKS sold either!

They were pretty much designed to deal with Rats in the hen house and barn without blowing holes in the side of the building.

IMHO the CCI make the best ones...I didn't care to much for the Winchester ones, and found them to be dirty ammo to use.

I have taken out many a mouse and pack rat with .22 shotshells in a revolver!:)

Alot of warehouses/factories used to use them to kill pidgeons and swallows that woud get in and nest..They used them so they would not blow holes in the roof or walls.

COntrary to what closed minded individuals may think, they are VERY useful in thier intended and/or specifc application.:)

YOu can get them at most any gun store, BTW..

You can also get CCI shotshells in...

45 ACP 117 Grain #9 Shot
9mm Luger 64 Grain #11 Shot
22 Long Rifle 31 Grain #12 Shot
44 Special, 44 Remington Magnum 140 Grain #9 Shot

I'm thinking that would be allot of painful nasty surgery to get out of a Goblin or Zombies behind. :D

Also .38 spl I have a box of 10 of those.:D

I've made my own in .357 mag and they patterned well with #7.5 shot. I think the trick is not to use a cap but more of a flat wad.I used cardboard from a cereal box and did not notice any problem with the center of my pattern.
