Hey Guy's, I don't know if anyone has posted this here before but here it goes.
I want to take my new Leica spotter out this weekend and maybe look for bears but I was a bit scared. I just got the scope and it doesn't have a protective cover for the front lens.
It just happens my 62mm Leica has the same threads for the front lens as some camera lens have. The local photo shop carries Tippin filter lens which thread in to either change the hue or enhance images as well as protect the expensive lens.
I picked up a clear filter lens and then got a quick release cover that pops into the end of it for a total of $35 and change.
My coated scope lens is now sealed off from dust and lint etc that you get on them on those back country hikes.

Mark promised me it will not distort the image, I use one on my big fat SLR and have no problems there so I will give it a try.

A cheap, yet high quality way to protect your investment.

Any other ideas, post away!;)

Cheers,
Noel
