NECG Rear Peep Sight on CZ 550 or CZ 557

Those of you who have mounted an NECG Peep sight on a CZ 557, did you remove the sight hood and elevate the front sight blade? Compared to factory irons, the NECG peep sight seems to be shooting about 6-8 inches high at 100 meters. At this stage, I'm not sure I prefer this sight over the factory irons.

I bought the kit from NECG for my CZ527 which included the front sight and the peep. It took time to fit the front sight but it was well worth it.

I put one on my brno 21h, and I had to replace front sight with an old 98 mauser sight I had lying around shoots great now.

Are you folks getting the NECG sights directly or is there a Canadian distributor? Their website would only allow a US address last time I had a look but I really want to try these out.

It’s a rebadged recknagle sight, so anyone who deals with recknagle should be able to order it for you. I bought mine used off of here.

I think the fiber optic front have enough adjustment, but they may be way off center in the hood once raised.

Hey all, I popped off the hood and all is good. There was enough adjustability in the front sight (CZ557) to raise it where I needed it. POA at 50 to 100 metres.
