Need .308 ammo advice

I primarily shoot .308. I’m a bit of a newb when it comes to reloading (can reload and have the minimal Lee reloading equipment but have much to learn). I want to buy about 1000 rnds of 155 gr. reloadable brass cased ammo but have not been able to source it. I have seen steel cased zinc coated ammo and Berdan primed brass cased ammo for fairly low prices in the 155 gr. range. I know I cannot reload Berdan without way to much effort but do not know much about steel cased ammo. Common sense tells me it is not reloadable and hard on chambers. Please inform me. Like I said want to buy a 1000 or so rounds of reloadable ammunition with excellent to decent brass. I already have about the same amount of once fired brass but this is spread over four .308’s so really not enough fire formed brass yet to amount to anything. Not sure if I should just bulk buy some Lapua brass or do the bulk buy pre-rolled so to speak ammo and reload from there. So what is your advice? If you know where t source what I have mentioned please do not hesitate to inform me. Thank you in advance for your response.
 
If you really want a 1000 reloadable factory cartridges the best I can think of right now is either Reliable or Lever here in Vancouver. I think i saw American Eagle FMJ at both. Lever had/has Federal SP.

Of course the AE/Federal brass might not meet your definition of high quality reloadable brass. And expect to pay at least a $1.00 a round, maybe a bit less since you will be getting a 1000 and might get bulk prices.
 
Any 155 grain ammo will be commercial ammo. No commercial ammo is cheap.
Steel cased ammo isn't reloadable.
You can order whatever you want in whatever quantity you want from your local gun shop. Be prepared to pay up front. It'll be cheaper to order new brass than it will loaded ammo.
"...have about the same amount of once fired brass..." That'll do nicely to get started. You will have to full length resize when loading for 4 rifles anyway. All rifle chambers are slightly different and you have to FL resize when using the same brass in more than one rifle. Best to use a different bullet so you can easily identify the loads for each rifle though. And you'll have to work up a load for each rifle.
 
Thank you for the info. Thus far I'm leaning toward unfired Lapua brass. Have a few more contacts to make. I will sort all my indvidual rifle rounds, which makes things much easir.
 
If you can find federal once fire brass, they give very good result in my trg-22 very surprising on par with very expensive brass, important tip weight every case and use only 0.01 grains difference 44.8gr of Varget 168 gr hornady hp match br-2 cci primer and oal 2.825, i get .350 groupings at 100 metres with a chrony of 2675 fps with that load... Shooting is everything. Cheer. JP
